I disagree. As time goes by and more and more release/performance rumors come out about Fermi, there is the chance consumers might decide to wait a bit longer to see what the competition looks like.

The performance numbers would certainly have to increase over what I've heard so far to make anyone want to wait another five months to buy a Fermi based card. It's not like Fermi will be the fastest board on the market when it comes out.

Fermi should be the fastest single GPU when released, no?

yes, but not the fastest board and certainly not the most price competitive.

Shame we have to wait until at least the 18th before they put them up on their site since they are the 'Hemlock' driver's. Unless they leak before then :/

It's a bugfix for NFS for crying out loud. Not a performance driver.

Well it goes from 12% slower without AA to 8% faster with AA so yeah that does point to DX10.1 helping out.

Quite silly that they are running the benchmarks at 1280 x 1024 and 1600 x 1200.

A card that expensive should be benchmarked at 1920 x 1200 and up.

Interesting that the power consumption is topping out at 304 Watt though (in 3DMark Vantage).

I believe DXVA-HD provides some post processing functions - we already provide this capability through our own interface.
