AMD acquires Xilinx in $35 B stock deal

AMD has announced plans to acquire Xilinx, in a $30 billion stock deal which is expected to close at the end of 2021. this should give AMD a stronger footing in the networking space among some other things.
Will be interesting how this turns out for them.

This seems like a monstrously large number -> company ending risk if it doesn't work out.
Didn't they sell off their FPGA section like 10 yrs ago?

Title should be changed to $35 billion.

 

Won't that change depending on stock valuations, so moment to moment it would be different until the day it's executed?
