And I do mean all movements you can think of in a single game.

For example : I'd just had another HL2 session and I wished I could lean forward and look down over an edge I was standing on. Or stand on tip-toes and peek/look over something I was hiding behind (note : I think some games already allow this though I can't remember which). Or peek around corners which I think is exclusive to MP (or not, I forget).

I mean, essentially, what are the kind of things you wish you could do/look in a single game which have either been implemented in another game or simply don't exist at all in any game.

Maybe someone will come up with a hold key that works on a case by case basis. Like if you wanted to lean you could hold down a key and press in any direction you'd like to lean, but if you were against, say, a box, rather than leaning you'd peek over it.

System Shock 1 was pretty good at the leaning stuff IIRC. You could lean left and right while standing, crouched and proned.

Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory's leaning is an entirely different matter: you can do it but others won't see you do it. "People in the know" will know what I'm talking about :)

I think it would be great to have sixaxis support for FPS games - they would add a great range of options. I've discussed some possible setups for this before. Could also be really good for boxing games - controlling the upper body with the sixaxis for instance for leaning back, left, forward, right and so on. Could really improve the game.

some games allow you to (cheat?) with the camera enough to get to peek around things. G2 for instance.

How about a "shoot blindly round obstruction" key

No, seriously, I want one of those.

I think GoW features that. With a shotgun no less. :)

The flipside to that is you can't shoot while leaning either.
There's a greate example in the original Proxycon demo too. I'm all for it, and it shouldn't be too hard to implement (just move the projectile origin a foot in the right direction and cripple the accuracy). I'd want it to be context sensitive somehow rather than having to choose left/right/over-the-top, simple controls in an action FPS are a must.

    Gears of War. Yesss....

And I meant the first Proxycon rolling demo, I think it was 3DMark03. I don't know if the full version has a playable demo, I just remember a scene where the camera's in first-person and the guy sticks his gun around a door frame.

UT-style dodging should be in every FPS.
