Their physics engine is accurate. It's much, much better than HL2's implementation of havok which had clip bugs, instabillities and things getting 'hitched' on each other when sufficiently much crap is put in a pile.

Well, you'd hope so, but that's not the case from the reviews of Aegia I've seen so far.

It is from the software demos I've seen(including cell factor in software, meqon demos(ageia bought them and used some/most of their software) and some other stuff). If you put 100 cylinders in a pile and push them around in HL2 you'll get odd and unexpected behaviour most of the time(e.g. a bunch of cylinders clipping and getting stuck in mid air shooting sparks or something).

But it's not the case in the real games that use the physics engine, like GRAW or City of Villains.

Hell, it seems to me that UT2003 is better at preventing objects from clipping into one another than these games.

Maybe the game devs don't want to give the CPU engine enough CPU to do the job gracefully? I'm pretty sure both ageia and havok are flexible enough to be rebalanced towards performance or quality.

The BetOn Solider patch is out. That now makes 3 full games, 2 demo’s and 1 test server online game that support the PPU. Support is starting to come out at last. But we still need more lots more.

The patch is a little on the large size at 257meg. http://www.noos.fr/focus/bos/Bos_Patch_1_3.exe
