Nothing much about it, other than its appearance on the retailer's listing.

Here come's another victim of censorship! It can join the ranks of Manhunt 2.

Although I suspect there's little to be excited about in terms of huge advancements.....since as was mentioned above...we haven't heard anything until now.....I'm still thrilled to see a third part to the series. You had to love the carange you could cause at close range with a shotgun.....or how you could shoot-out a knee cap and cripple an enemy...lol...

Here's hoping the third is more like the first than the second. :)

    It better be!

The second only redeeming feature was its multiplayer. The solo campaign was a snooze fest, especially the first levels.

    I found Kotaku confirming it:

But I've heard it's not being developed by Raven and it's being published by Activision Value. :???:

i have been dreaming about nex-gen SoF for a long time.

I want SoF to be as gory and "real" as possible.

I'm pretty sure SoF was the first game to feature arterial spray when you shot someone in the neck. It was the first I saw anyway. Also eviscerating people with machine gunfire was a nice touch too.

They also made chaser which i liked
but being published by activision value suggests that they wont be getting much cash or time to spend on developement
maybe they will re-use the cloaknt engine ?

Yeah, Chaser was fantastic. I could never get past the first or second mission due to a PC-crashing bug that was never fixable on my system, but I loved everything about it up to that point.

    And that Cnet review is complete bullshit. Clearly the reviewer had a bug up his ass for the developer, because he was selectively picking out little things about the game and making them to be somehow badder than anything else. For instance;

Funny... What World War X game doesn't have a radar? COD 1 and 2 had 'radars', Brothers in Arms had a 'radar', does that suddenly make these games useless mish-mash piles of trash? No.

Argh, that Cnet....it can go die, and take its' reviewers with it.

On happier notes, hooray for SoF 3. I liked SoF 2's multiplayer, but if I had to choose between a good SP campaign or a fleshed out MP component, then the MP part can go get stuffed. I always preferred the SP experience in SoF, 2 was a bit of a letdown though.

The first one was somewhat acceptible, the second one sucked arse and I guess the third one will be abysmal. My 2c.

i still remember that haunting little tune that played in the menu of SOF2 (i think, unless it's 1). i liked/loved those games. quality experience IMO. nice variety of locale (i like that)....akin (but slicker) to SIN, BLOOD, HL1...not quite as great as NOLFs. or Deus Ex.

looking forward to this one. hope it's as good.
