Difficult. Off the top of my head I could only name "Florey". Unfortunately, I can't recall the name of the recent Nobel prize winner who found the treatment for stomach cancer.

FWIW, I bet you couldn't name a lot of British scientists who hadn't been (a) dead longer than Australia has been a nation and (b) where the numbers that had to be named took the ratio of the populations into account.

Can we also expand the definition of "famous" to include "(in)famous on Beyond3D"
