I quoted a site listed by someone else in this thread, which had nothing to do with newegg. I did also list the X850 XT which is an AGP card, funny you forgot to mention that. My point was the absurdity regarding the fact that the 7800 GS was more expensive than the X1800 XT on overclockers regardless of whether or not they are PCIe or AGP. If you think there is nothing funny about that than oh well, I do.

The X850XT price that YOU quoted as $164 is PCIE! And so is the X1800XT. If you look at the AGP prices for the X850XT ANYWHERE you'll see it still costs rougly equal to the 7800GS.

Ok so the X850 XT isn't AGP, I forgot everyone is pushing PCIe down our throats. However, you can still find AGP X850s for $250 and under, they're just harder to find.

Well back on topic, it looks like neweggs stock of 7900gtxs has finally run dry. Monarch has plenty but only a couple even approach MSRP. Zipzoomfly is out of 7900gtxs as well. Directron is sold out.

That sums up the list of places I generally shop from. All gone. Will be interesting to see the sales numbers.

Availability here in Australia is terrible. The first shipment to one of our major distributors here was only around 40 cards, that includes all types (GT, GTX, GX2, etc). Suprisingly there were 4 GX2 cards in that lot, but none of it lasted more than an hour or two. The prices are horrible too. On the other hand there is heaps of the 7300GS, everything else in the 7 series seems non-existent. There is also no ETA on a second shipment.

Thats weird. When I was looking about 3 hours ago I could have SWORE that there was at least 1 of those GTXs with an ETA of the 23rd.

Also, its a shame that the GTs are above MSRP. Other than lower heat and power draw, the low cost was nVidias only real selling point. I can't see why anyone would want one unless they're priced significantly lower than their ATI competition.

I've been shopping for awhile and finally got a x1800xl from auspcmarket. They have a load of those and x1xxx it seems. the x1900 are in stock all over.

I was waiting for a GT0 but doubt they will hit our shores. The other alternative was a 7600 (something) but they are pre-order from the etailers I usually buy from and for another <100 little aussie battlers I thought the xl was a better option.

    GTs above MSRP? No though.

You can't see why anyone want one unless they're priced significantly lower than their ATI competition? So which ATI card do you think is direct competition to 7900GT?

The GTO is available here now. Not much stock yet though, ~$400 isn't too bad.

I bought my BFG 7900GT last week for only USD$319.99

So why dont' you buy 7900s last week and wait till today to start this thread?

P.S. or your intention is otherwise?

I cant either. If it's anything like the X800GTO, it will show up soon, and be everywhere.
