There is nothing good in that price range. vuze is more expensive(799$) and still pretty crappy based on the youtube videos they have released

vuze looks nice but not the most portable, a bit pricey but still thanks it looks good, @Davros eg http://www.bestproducts.com/tech/gadgets/news/g1752/360-degree-cameras/
Im going on safari for 3 weeks next month, including gorillias in rwanda and are wanting to take some 360 videos, 3d videos would be a bonus but not necessary.
Im not wanting to take too much, so deciding between 360 videocamera,a normal photocamera (with telescopic lens) or drone.

yeah I was thinking about a drone, over the wilderbeests,elephants etc but then I was thinking
A/ I'ld be even more of an annoying cunt
B/ gotta recharge it all the time
C/ theres enuf quality drone footage of animals out there already
#C also applies to just a normal camera, eg
whats the diff between someone else taking this picture and me taking it? Sure it will remind me that I was there etc but its not like I'm in the image, but overall its not as immersive/evocative as a 360 video

Still not that great though
samsung gear 360 looks better but overheating, also able to go underwater sounds cool (wish I had it at the start of the year when I swam with whalesharks)
But still not convinced if this is the best buy (some reviews are pretty harsh) I can spend <$1000US

I've decided against a 3d camera, there seems to be a few good ones coming out within the next year but at present all of the current ones are crap.
I'm just gonna get a standard camera with a good zoom
possible choices, the sx60 is a bit large . I'm more wanting one 40mm thick max
