ASUS Radeon R9 290X DirectCU II 4GB
Very Nice Overclocking :-)
Maybe somebody was trying to help the GPU-z to recognize all the specs (Photoshop would be great start)
$649 R9 290X vs. $999 Geforce Titan
According to the information we received from manufacturer AMD has postponed the launch of the Radeon R9 290X.
It’s not October 15th
Radeon R9 290X released date October 11 ????
I think going more than ~300GB's bandwidth for R9 290X will be overkill, that is why my best guess AMD could clock it @1200MHz over 512bit bus.
It seems that based on GPU-Z screen shot, Memory clock has xx00MHz.
Speculation based on GPU-Z will be 1200MHz (Which based on AMD slide...
Could be under-clocked sample from AMD.
Final version of the card should be clocked higher based on AMD slide(s)
Could be a good reason not in production because power consumption is too high, similar Intel core i7 (sandy-bridge) six core processor with 2...
If the 290X scores roughly 8000 points, and the 280X aka "7970 GHz edition" re-badge scores 6800 points (according to the two AMD slides),...
Then it must be under 5.5 teraflops.
OR I'm willing to bet AMD stupidly do their in-house runs with stuff like A10-6800 or FX-8350 tops; perhaps if real benchmark was done on Core i7...
Geforce Titan has 4.5 TF, I just have to wait for actual real benchmarks for hawaii xt in order to draw any conclusion.
Let say if performance an par with GTX780 and a bit slower than Titan, then why? AMD needed 512bit bus for? similar with Radeon 2900XT back in a...
It still puzzle my mind whether this benchmarks is based on 2,816 stream or NOT?
I don't want to accuse him but based on your statement he is hypocrite.
ATI/AMD might win with Radeon 7970 over GTX680 in the future - when GTX 680 hits 2GB frame buffer limitation for the games of tomorrow.
HD7970 @1150MHz core.
I think Sapphire ATI 7970 Vapor-X 6gb will take performance crown away from stock GTX680.
I think AMD gave a green light, let partners factory overclock beyond 1GHz limit restriction because of Kepler's performance.
ATI needs to release 7970XTX / 7980 clocked at 1.1GHz+ - since at that speed it beats stock clock GTX680, ~95% percent most of benchmarks....
Interesting results in overcloking Radeon 7970 and Geforce GTX 680
Something like that, giving the fact that it will be in short supply, plus retail stores don't get new product right away.
4 months late and overpriced.
I expected that GTX680 should be slightly faster then HD7970, but Nvidia failed.
Probably they will clock for sure at this time using 6.0 gigabits gddr5 @ 1500MHz that will give 288GB's bandwidth, I think that will be only...
I have strong feelings about how GK104 will fare against Geforce GTX580, so their will be no pressure to AMD to rush with Sea Islands GPU.
I agree, Nvidia will be competition to itself - since GTX580-3GB version sales for $549, and why would anybody buy it for $549 - since you can get...
If you multiply Radeon 7970 @ 4313M transistors by 15% percent you get extra 647M transistors - which puts Radeon 8970 to 4960M transistors,...
I have a strong feelings that 28nm Sea Islands die size will be as big as ATI R600 aka. Radeon2900XT.
Old post, but is it true to be that quick - to the market?
Sea Island GPUs will reach the market in late 2012 or early 2013....
Fudzilla also posted about Sea Islands
I was talking about good over-cloking potential with ASUS 3-triple slot and custom PCB.
Maybe, possibly reaching 1.3GHz core and still consume...
New upcoming ASUS HD7970 DirectCU II Graphics Card - makes EVGA GeForce GTX 580 (Fermi) Classified...
Well, 7990 was reserve for dual GPU solution or we would think that.... Since we had 6990 Dual Cayman.
If they indeed release XTX it most likey be called HD7980.
Similar HD4870 to HD4890 transition of higher clocks.
