Free BRD for Euro PS3 online registrants.

Slightly different from the NA bonus BRD, Casino Royale is free for Europeans PS3 customers when they register on the PlayStation Network. Apparently it's a Dual-layer AVC movie, so quality should be exceptional.

Sony has announced that the first 500,000 consumers to register their PlayStation 3 on the PlayStation Network after the console's European launch will receive a free copy of James Bond film Casino Royale on Blu-ray.

Sony's Darren Carter, VP of brand and consumer marketing, described it as a "phenomenal incentive" for consumers to sign up to the console's online service, which allows for free online gaming as well as downloadable content through the PS3 Store.

You're registering your PS3, which is different from registering your Playstation On-Line account ...

I believe it's 'register their PS3'. Thus stick a PS3 serial number into your existing PSN account, and get a BRD, I 'spose.

Well it says "when they register on the PlayStation Network"

They don't want to just give out BR movies to people who don't care enough about the full experience to connect it online. They want to encourage users to connect their PS3s to the internet.

When you create the PSN account you have to input your home address. So they will probably just ship it there to the first 500k.

To thoise hwo can afford it that is. I heard the PS3's going to cost the equivalent of $850 in europe? Seems to me with those prices the least they could do is throw in a James Bond disc!
