Warhawk New Screens (upgrade + delay)

Can someone buy me a PS3? pleeeeaaase?
See? I said the magic word

So many great games

From what I've read, the controls seem responsive and easy to use. Maybe the sensitivity was too high?

I think the delay will help this game out immensely. Shame that the PS3 is losing a launch game, but in the end I think it will be well worth it.

Mmm screens at 1024*576... Strange resolution, not even HD... I hope they won't pull a PGR3 on us...

I believe that's gamespots standard crap screenshot resolution. 360 game screen that I've looked at at Gamespot are all that res as well.

Hell I've mentioned before on B3D, if you're ever in a debate and want to put a game in a bad light, always go to gamespot for your screens. They're always awful.

Gamespot is really slipping and needs a complete site revamp at this point.

Oh. Didn't know that. Sounds a bit silly if you ask me, considering the negligible savings they make on the little resolution they cut... Whatever, forget my previous post then :D ...

I think the theory is they do it so that it fits on a 1024X768 resolution setting without requiring scrolling. That is still the most common desktop resolution setting.

Their screenshots have been crap since long before widescreen screenshots though.

This game looks good, but not great.

The visuals when flying over the water in combat look great. The water, clouds, and lighting is great!

On the ground the landscapes are looking better, but just are not that impressive in my opinion.

Overall, I think this game will be good, but nothing stunning. Of course until we see the final version we can't really make a final judgement.

IMO, they have already shown a significant improvement since their e3 showing, even at TGS it was looking much more polished. I think it's safe to say the final product will only improve from here on, theres a lot of time left in development, to polish and adjust the gameplay (ground and air) even more. Can't wait to see more of it in the coming months.

As mentioned previously, I'm glad they decided to delay the game, quality over quantity.

For a game of this type, I hope they're spending their time ironing out the balance and mechanics of the gameplay before tackling the graphics. But really, the environments could use work. There's plenty of time. I hope there're weather changes (with their cloud renderer, they might be able to get some great results) and some HDR implemented at some point. I don't think I've seen the world any brighter than these last screens. and that's still pretty dull. But if it keeps improving, then the final product will be incredible.

My one real beef is that with the game being free-roaming, they might not have any more cheezy cutscenes in this one. :D That was one of the best parts of the first game. PEACE.
