Alternatives to Extractor (audio)

Well, after reading through this guide @ Tweakguides.com: http://www.tweaktown.com/guides/421/4/game_music_extraction_page_4_the_tools/index.html, I'm looking for a free alternative to the audio extraction software named Extractor. The shareware version of Extractor is limited to 30 files per session, no good .

Does such a thing exist, or does one have to shell out to get a fully-functional program like this or better?

you want EAC (exact audio copy), it's both freeware and the best in its category I think.

have flac and lame as codecs with that

foobar's 'extractor' is nearly identical to EAC (which is the standard for lossless ripping i'd wager), hashwise from what I noted by browsing those lossless research forums.. http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index.php

Thankyou guys, but afaik it doesn't look like EAC is quite what I'm looking for. From what I've seen it only let's you extract/burn .wav from/to an audio CD/DVD. I'm looking to extract from arcane extensions (on my HDD) like .arc, a la what Extractor does. Still usefull for what it is though...

Any suggestions?
