Finally did it

Well, being at the ripe age of 28 my hair is deciding to saying sayonara and I shaved my head today. It's pretty funny though, I have a real bad spot that's thinning out gracefully and it looks even funnier with my head shaved. I don't think I have male patterned baldness though, I think I have male patchy baldness, cause this shit ain't going away in a pattern

It's really strange, I was looking at a picture of me at the age of 23 and I had a full head of hair, then something happened around the age of 25 or 26 and it just started thinning. Oh well, my dad has no hair on top of his head, but my mom told me that her dad died with a full head of hair. That leaves me with one conclusion, I'm the milkmans baby, lol.

Male pattern baldness is a gene from your mother and testosterone (which inhibits hair growth on the scalp whilst encouraging it over the rest of your body). That's why your grandad on your mother's side didn't have it.

If they ever find a cure, you'll know about it. It will be a bigger lifestyle drug than viagra (but smaller than the anti-fat pill). There's a lot of companies working on it.

BTW, they do say that trimming your hair right down is the way to go, because it takes the emphasis away from the thinning hair and puts the emphasis back on your face. Whatever you do, don't go for the pony-tail or the comb-over.

Oh and btw, welcome to the club.

Digi, you have made me feel much better. I thought my desk was dirty, but now it looks so very clean.... compared to yours. ;)

Haha Linty, when I saw this topic, first thought that flashed through my mind was that you'd completed your rocket ship, and you were gonna take off for greener pastures away from us retards!

*Ahem* Well, anyway... I don't have any signs of hairloss, but I do seem to have a few paling strands at my temples (my normal color is brown). Feels kind of weird in a way. I don't think I'd go bonkers over my head turning grey, or even going bald, but it does feel weird somehow. Makes ya think about aging n shit, heh.

A ~20-year old girl asking "Excuse me sir, what time is it?" istead of "Hey, got a watch?" is a sure sign you're getting old (as happened to me last week)

O Rly?

Digi, are you sure that you don't have some of you red hair left on your head?

And since I'm on a roll, I had to ask myself: If digi uses a Firefox Wallpaper, at his messy desk, what does Firefox us as a Wallpaper then?

Do you have a lot of grey or not?

I'm getting there. I noticed I started getting some grey at the age of 19. Strangely enough, that was around the same time my wife and I started dating, lol. I just tell people she did it.

You're lucky.
I have to shave all my hair.
From pubes to head.

It takes a lot of time too.
This thread could have been a funny one, but no, you had to disclose such a terrible and disturbing information upon an unsuspecting world.

:p

I did mine again yesterday after letting it grow during Computex. Getting good at doing it solo (steady on) although it took a good 40 mins since I didn't pre-clip and it was a good 5mm or so long. Doh.

Only started completely razoring it recently and it really does need doing every day or two, which is the crappy part.

Oh, heck.

Why can't ALL my hair just fall out!? It would make my life so much easier.

Why shave? Just wax it. :p
