That's correct, the second "new" series, with David Tennant starts here in the UK on Saturday.

Best lines of the new show, both from Rose: "Ahhhhh! I'm a chav!" and "Mmmm, curves - it's like being inside a bouncy castle.."

Watching the "Dr Who Confidential" afterwards on BBC3 showed little snippets of future episodes including Cybermen, Elisabeth Sladen returning as Sarah-Jane, and the return of K-9.

It also looks like htey had an increase in their CG budgets. Good show.
