[social] question for those of you who went to college...

Why? What's this got to do with anything?

yeah, people love my car! someof my friends have said things like feeling like a rich Flower Mound (a suburb) bitch or my wife when riding in the passenger seat.

sage... you really should not care so much about what other people say.
self confidence makes one a lot more atractive.
SELF confidence...... not the confidence from others....
at least... try not to mention that someone gave you a compliment.
just enjoy the compliment.. take it in... and then radiate the newfound self confidence with a big smile.

generaly.. smile to everyone... your friends.. girls... other guys... even pairs.
most of all smile to the camara when you make a picture ; - )

and one before me got a point........ say about 70 percent of the men goe into a club with the intent to pick someone up. 20 percent have a girlfriend and the others are positivly on the other boarder.

so... yeah.
oh.. drinking and pills are by no means an obligation... just... youll feel happyer. and that makes someone more atractive. and happyer....and happyer

anyway..... enjoy the evening by all means and if you see a girl alone or 2 girls alone....
(for more girls youd better be in a group.. mass war ) and make some bold moves...
i mean say something.......not dance....

now.. if you are not enjoying the evening and then you try that..... and dont get a positive response........ well... no fun evening.

so... try to be happy in advance.....if it s because of the music, the drinks... the good day..... happy to be alive......

soo......... people go there to have fun. do the same.
meaning... what do you do if you play a game and its no fun.......
you dont play it anymore..... maybe another time.... another game..... with other people...... or maybe you just have to get skilled at the game :devilish: :p :D

Yeah. Although I don't quite agree with that "always smile" part. Unless you wanted to say "let everyone know that you feel well and have fun" kind of smiling, which would be ok.

You've been reading David D's stuff, heh? ;)

DeAngelo is an acquired taste. It's a bit one-size-fits-all. If you're not naturally cocky-funny then it's difficult to become so. There are other routes to good 'game'.

Everyone has his own ways, for sure. Would you mind PM'ing me some links? (I'm always open to new ideas on this topic, hehe :))

yeah i usually smile and when I do i get GREAT BIG smiles back from the girls... I just have troubble making an appropriate smile for a camera, when i try to smile it either comes out as a scowl or some crazy-assed clown face.

and its starting to sound to me like perhaps i just shouldn't go to these things because it's just not the sort of thing that is for me. that kind of makes me feel a bit better

about smiling...... i mean... as soon as you have eycontact with someone.....
no permanent smile....... well.. would be nice to have.. but i dont.

or at least some facial expression that shows recognition and well beeing......
you dont have to show teeths.........

even a little smirk is enough.

Who is david d..... some happines guru... on cd's?

sage just go and see... dont think, act.
well anyway... i hope you see that going out is just another way to have fun.

anyway... if you are not in contact with people who go to parties, then you are not "enough" socialy involved. just do more, more sports, more acitvitys that are social........ shouldnt be a problem as a student. ---> me think so, e e.. ai do.

Something of the kind , he's a "seduction guru"...

Anyway, essentially he says the same "be natural, be yourself, be confident" lines, though specifically related to being natural in interaction with women.

You just fear the failure, as I see it. The only way to overcome your troubles is to go out and do it. No other way.

well that s not what i say..... i mean.. generally, if you listen such things, your natural self is not confident, and certainly not happy. so.. you shouldnt show your natural self at all.
get a new self...... --> two selfs are better then one.... and one self learns from the other...

maybe?

but regarding picking up womans...

the idea i like best is the one that you have to accept that there is a high failure ratio.

9 out of 10 trys fail. so....... trying and getting rejected without caring to much is the best way to try a tenth time and then likely succed.

Nothing like that. Exactly the opposite, actually :)

oh i have no problem being social, this is really nothing to do with attracting the opposite gender. in fact, the only problem that I have with getting a girlfriend is that the very very very few girls that I have actually liked thus far have turned out to be in relationships. although, that may be because I'm just being too picky and the vast majority of girls here that are interested in me I blow off.

nope, I'm serious. i thought it was going to find people to have orgies with that you'll never see again. if the whole point is to drink, dance, hang out, socialize then I have little interest in that. I really don't consider any of that to be enjoyable or relaxing in the least bit and I if those sorts of things are the point then I don't see what draw is.

yeah i was my "natural self" first semester and I've since found out that my "natural self" is really creepy and totally gives off the wrong vibes. Apparently a girl saying "yeah, whenever I get drunk I show eeeeeeveryone my clit piercings!" and me retorting with a quick "hey, quick, where's the alcohol!?" is not funny and is creepy. I thought it was funny. So, I have to play nice now and it does seem to work better. Took me a while to find the line between the proverbial nice guy and creepy perv and I've pretty well gotten the being respectful without being a wussy pushover thing down.

But you're really sexy and women want to lick your pearly white teeth. And you have the gayest f'n car in TX, so I simply cannot fathom why any woman wouldn't have taken you up on your alcohol offering and screwed you until the sun came back up.

Believe me, any girl that tells you about her clit piercings in open conversation has no right to find anything you say to her creepy. That wasn't a creepy retort from you - it was a brain-numbingly obvious one! If she took offence tough luck on her.

Then I suggest you don't carry on complaining about not going to parties/clubs/whatever - all that happens in these places is drinking, dancing and socialising! Stop the navel-gazing, find a hobby you enjoy and stop moaning!
