Medal of Honor European assult is impressive

For a current gen game. I played it at best buy this weekend and I was surprised at how close the gameplay is to Call of Duty 2. It's like COD2 at lower res and running at 30fps.
And I used to think that kind of game was only possible on high end PC's.

This is the result of less returns (IN GAMEPLAY) with some tech, many of the impressive gfx we saw till today is a result of the camera work (see the GoW cut scenes and gameplay for eg), probably the only tech that we will really notice (in gameplay) is those that affect gameplay, those that only appear in some cases or in very slow action games like RPGs (even KZ2 is mostly impressive because physics/animation not because of its gfx).

I think that people should lower their expectations about the gfx that people think will play with.

I agree I think it's the animation that trumps those small missing GPU effects.

It's even got that cool looking billowing smoke that's in COD2. Effects like that aren't a result of the GPU but rather smooth and realistic animation.

It's on Xbox though. Xbox is like half this generation it's so good

Another example of that is GRAW on Xbox..looks pretty damn good even compared to GRAW Xbox360..

Hey I'm playing frontline on ps2 and I'm still quite amazed how good the AI is.
