OK, it's been a a while since I was reading up on the new consoles, and I have a quick question.

It's about the Xenons eDRAM, tile based rendering and "free AA."

Is it true that the Xenos can do "free AA"....but now there's a catch? And tat catch is that the game has to be designed around tile based rendering? As long as the game is based arond tiling the AA will be essentially free, but in games that aren't done this way, you can still turn on AA, but it's not free anymore?

Is that correct?

Also , why can't you just take a game and make it render it's frames in tiles? Does the game really have to be designed this way from the begining? I don't quite understand.

And, I read a great article about the Xenos here months ago, but there were things that were still not known becase the 360 simply wasn't out yet. Has tat article been updated? Or has another equally complete article been written since the 360's launch? Do we now know essentially everything about the Xenos at this point?
