Here is Project Assassins from Ubisoft....and its from the creators of Prince of Persia

Project Assasins

Looks very interesting. They seem to be mixing the Modern with the Medieval or something. I wonder if it will be like Theif or something?

EDIT: Looked around a bit...couldn't find a thread with this game in it. I remember seeing one..but couldn't find it.

We spoke of chainmail in a thread about something else, and I moved that discussion to the Console Forum rather than games for the purpose of discussing rendering techniques.

DAMN Quicktime when will u die?!

LOL...I thought I linked to the WMV version

I'm using Quicktime less and less as time goes by. It seems to stream better though..I don't know. Quicktime Trailers is my bestest most favorite trailer site.

Really? For me, it's quite the opposite. However, if choosing between WMV and MOV to download and save a trailer, I generally prefer MOV -- the quality is usually better, assuming the source video wasn't total crap. Moreover, depending on the codec of the WMV, you may not be able to see, whereas MOV is generally fine.

In the grand scheme of A/V container format, though, I can't say I like Quicktime. I just like WMV less.

Back on the issue.

Now THAT i have a hard time believing it's realtime. Seriosuly i'm not messing around this time. But anything could be.

None of that was realtime. it was all CG.
After looking at the much-contested chainmail animation at 0:39-0:40, I have to agree.

[edit]
Not with the "all", though.

Oh dear. Yet another developer toying with Maya instead of writing computer games. It's amazing any of them will be in business in a year's time.

It's not like the same people writing the games are also making these video u know geezer. They always outsource the CGI bits to companies/studios that specialise in CGI.
The only thing to be worried about is money, these CGI videos cost money. Certainly not time.

I'd like to know what people look for when they categorical announce it's CG (QRoach!)? Some bits looked like live-action footage (what I believe was a crossbow mechanism EDIT : no, appears to be a hidden knife. Why a chainmail covered night would be afraid to be seen carrying a weapon though...) but the scene of the 'village' definitely looked average and dooable on a current PC.
