OpendGL Shader Builder bundled with OSX

CMAN

Regular
I am an EE major and curious about writing shaders. I just realized the other day my Powerbook comes with an OpenGL Shader Builder app. I was curious if anyone has any experience with it, and whether or not the program is worth tinkering around with. I also have a FX 5200 in the Powerbook, so I can support most shaders, even if only slowly.

I've looked at it briefly, but I've only got a 9200 in my iBook, so I wasn't able to do a huge amount. Basically seems to work and is a reasonable interface for development I'd guess.

Best advice is give it a go, and report back when you've got something cool.

I looked around and couldn't find the app you're talking about. Could you let me know where you found it and what it's called?

Just curious...

Thank you!

Click on your harddrive folder (not the home folder for your account). Then open the "Developer" folder. Open "Applications" folder. Open "Graphic Tools" folder. You are there. The app is called OpenGL Shader Builder.

Hope that helps.
