They advertise dolby digital ex for this board, which is bordering on fraudulent I'll have to say.

Also, no pcie slots... Disappointing.

It's still bordering on fraudulent. Only way you'll get DD EX on that thing is by playing a DVD with DD EX sound encoding on it through the digital-out jack, not really the impression one gets from looking at the enormous DD EX logo on the product page on the website...

I don't want to waste my money on SLI when I never intend to use it.

Thanks. I was deciding if I would get the Asus PCIE SLI or wait for a board with a single PCIE graphics slot. I guess I'll wait.

Does anyone else find it interesting how the more advanced SLi boards (with much higher price tags) have shown up long before any of the cheaper PCIE capable boards?

Methinks nvidia marketing is at it again.

Well, the board linked to at the top of the page don't show any 1x slots, only 16x. I guess they could be hidden UNDER the board tho...

The Ultra is the third board. Aren't the 2 top slots 1x PCIE
