Need a GREAT restaurant in Manchester/Macclesfield

I'm hoping some of the UK folks can help me out here. I'm taking a rather big wig customer and his wife to dinner in the Macclesfield/Manchester area this weekend. I'd like to find a really great restaurant but don't know the area AT ALL.

Any recommendations?

Well, Rusholme curry houses are known for being quite cheap'n'cheerful and are usually frequented by people who have spilled into them after a night on the town and a few pints of lager. You get great authentic curry but most of the people will be pissed out of their head and probably very loud

for chinese then if you can get booked in,, the yang sing . .

i've been there on corperate ( we some people from the lillehammer olympic commite ) and personal . . i've also been the great-wall( its on the list on those links) and thats good ... dont know about the others .

difficult to recommend a curry house , i'm normally pished when down there :-/ .

Horrible Chinese restruants in Manchester (and the whole of UK)!!

I fyou want posh upper class estabilishment, Try the Reform club near DeansGate. Veal steak + Caviar stuff.

If you fancy ethnic food, there's Koreana also near dealsgate and castlefield, try Samshi Japanese restruant near Canal street, but don't go when it's a naked serving girl night LOL.
