Your All-Time Favourite Song

There's no way I could whittle it down to one song or one artist, or even one genre.

I really enjoy music from across the spectrum (though not so much rap or modern hip-hop, or jazz). Country, Bluegrass, folk, classic rock, modern rock, some pop. Eagles, Blue Oyster Cult, Vallejo, U2, Tool, Tom Petty, Rush, Social Distortion, Jimmy Buffet, Boston, The Black Crowes, Jethro Tull, Pink Floyd. I've even got a little place in my heart for Body Count and Sista Souljah.

edit: can't forget Rage Against the Machine, or NiN---both defining artists of my college years.

I'll go for top 3 (in no particular order):
Ben Folds (Five) - Brick
Lamb - Gorecki
Yoko Kanno - Fish / Silent Cruise

In light of all the sad events and deaths occurring around the world in the past 2 or 3 years, I never realized just how appropriate my favourite song is when I started this thread (and that's the truth) :

Think about it, there must be higher love
Down in the heart or hidden in the stars above
Without it, life is wasted time
Look inside your heart, I'll look inside mine
Things look so bad everywhere
In this whole world, what is fair?
We walk blind and we try to see
Falling behind in what could be

Bring me a higher love
Bring me a higher love
Bring me a higher love
Where's that higher love I keep thinking of?

Worlds are turning and we're just hanging on
Facing our fear and standing out there alone
A yearning, and it's real to me
There must be someone who's feeling for me
Things look so bad everywhere
In this whole world, what is fair?
We walk blind and we try to see
Falling behind in what could be

Bring me a higher love
Bring me a higher love
Bring me a higher love
Where's that higher love I keep thinking of?

Bring me a higher love
Bring me a higher love
Bring be a higher love
I could rise above on a higher love

I will wait for it
I'm not too late for it
Until then, I'll sing my song
To cheer the night along

Bring it...Oh bring it...

I could light the night up with my soul on fire
I could make the sun shine from pure desire
Let me feel that love come over me
Let me feel how strong it could be

Bring me a higher love
Bring me a higher love
Bring me a higher love
Where's that higher love I keep thinking of?

I chosed this song not because of its lyrics but it had such a kick-ass melody when it was released (in the car, driving, it's the best for me and made me almost meet accidents a number of times) and still is for me. Dance stuff by Winwood -- never woulda thunk it based on Blind Faith stuff.... Now, with the last bombing in Jakarta, it made me think a bit more about what it means to love not only the lives of your fellow human beings but your own.

Down with religion. Respective Gods should be crying. I now seriously doubt They/He/She exists.
