Dynamic 4k temporal injection, they optimize and this is above 1440p in 60 fps now. Good.

And they're right, part of the reason dying is so annoying in the Souls games has been the loading and waiting after each death. This is now basically gone, so people shouldn't be as scared or frustrated as before.

Art direction wise, no. It is still the best example of PBR material combined with Scans. VFX wise, DS is a step up.
When comparing to the order 1886 I shall add.
Well, whatever they are using RT for, the whole lighting model elevates these visual to a whole other level. It's just full of life (see what I did there? full of life? but everyone in the game is dead? no?), compared to more flat lighting systems (cough*Watchdogs*cough). So cool and dynamic and COOL.
It's probably a toggle in the options. Shadow of the colossus was also highly customizable.
I can’t imagine playing a Souls game without HUD. How would you know what’s going on? And how many souls you know you’re going to lose?
