I'd forward the fact that watching e.g. My Little Pony episodes works better for taking our minds off the current issues ;)

28 Days Later, REC and Train to Busan should be considered must watch, they're considered some of the best in the genre.

The original Cabin Fever was quite good, Pontypool is a very interesting watch, quite different. Slither is a really fun monster-comedy. Pandorum I really enjoyed as well. The Andromeda Strain is an excellent intelligent classic.

A few there I haven't seen, I'd like to check them out. Thanks for the list.

7/10 The Girl with All the Gifts (2016)
I'm watching this now [Netflix] and finding it quite enjoyable. I don't know how I missed it the first time around.

The book was enjoyable enough (extremely silly denouement, however), but I just had to give up 5 minutes into the movie. That might be me, however. I'm generally not particularly bothered with adaptations of books I've already read as they tend to disappoint.

I just Watched Mayhem (2017) ok film if you like 'the purge' like films, Its got one of the actors from
Burning (2018) which is decent if you like a korean film more in the style of a japanese film

Peninsula, a sequel to Train to Busan was just announced for release in August. Same writer and director of the original excellent film but this new one looks far more action-focused than I remember the original being. Maybe I should watch it again. Maybe it's just the trailer as well focusing on the action because it's necessary with audiences.

Contagion is actually super spookily on point.
Its a 2011 movie so riffing on trends from SARS/Swineflu & astute observations on political trends.

If you want to see Arnold Schwarzenegger's finest performance as an actor, there is Maggie (the movie as whole is okay).

I'm going to disagree with that and say his finest performance was The Terminator I dont think anyone could have played that part as well as he did.
