Meth-fed ‘attack squirrel’ found caged in Alabama home during drug bust, cops say

An Alabama man is accused of feeding meth to a pet squirrel in order to keep it aggressive, according to a press release from the Limestone County Sheriff’s Office.

Mickey Paulk, 35, of Limestone County in north Alabama, is alleged to have kept the rodent drugged up in his apartment so it could serve as his “attack squirrel,” said the release.

Investigators did not say whom Paulk was hoping the squirrel might attack.

Sheriff’s office officials told the news outlets the squirrel was released because “there was no safe way to test the squirrel for meth,”

Is this the onion news????

What the fuck is wrong with the policemen in the states?
The cases of power abuse and violence by policemen is scary!
People are either jailed for nothing, sentenced for years for minor or nonexistent offences or even injured or killed by psycho men in uniforms

Privatized Prisions has created a shadow industry of cheap labor in the states. It's what happens when people set deals without avoiding basic conflicts of interest.

Florida-based billionaire Jeffrey Epstein has been indicted on new charges related to alleged sex crimes involving minors, law enforcement sources told CNN on Saturday.

Epstein was arrested Saturday and is expected to appear in federal court in New York on Monday.

Epstein faces charges brought by US prosecutors in Manhattan, after previously evading similar charges when he secured a non-prosecution deal with federal prosecutors in Miami.

The charges, contained in a sealed indictment, involve alleged sex trafficking crimes committed between 2002 and 2005, according to law enforcement sources. The indictment alleged that the crimes occurred in both New York and Palm Beach, Florida.

Florida man arrested after shooting threat on Facebook
Man posted message: "Don't go to Walmart"

Florida authorities are charging a 26-year-old man they say posted a threat on Facebook that he was about to have his semi-automatic rifle returned and people should stay away from Walmart.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement arrested Richard Clayton on Friday north of Orlando. The agency said Clayton posted his threat on Sunday, the day after a gunman in El Paso, Texas, killed 22 people and injured two dozen at a Walmart.

Investigators said the post read, “3 more days of probation left then I get my AR-15 back. Don’t go to Walmart next week.”

A department spokeswoman said Clayton was not on probation.

The FDLE said Clayton appears to believe in white supremacist ideology and has a history of posting threats on Facebook using fake accounts.

He was charged with making written threats to kill or do bodily harm. The FBI received a tip about the post on Tuesday.

Florida man gets 10 days in jail for missing jury duty
Deandre Somerville's sentence also includes three months of probation, 30 hours of community service, an apology letter, and a $223 fine.

Somerville was chosen as a juror on Aug. 20 for a civil trial in Florida's 15th judicial circuit. He was ordered to return the following day at 9:30 a.m. After waking up and realizing he overslept, he says he sought answers online regarding possible punishments for missing jury duty.

"I should have called," Somerville told NBC News. "But I was kind of nervous. I also went online to look up what could really happen, and I didn't really see too much there. ... [It looked like] nobody actually ever really went to jail for it."

Feeling "relief" from what he found, Somerville carried on as usual, heading to his job with the city's Parks and Recreation Department, where he works with kids in afterschool programs.

But that relief wouldn't last long. On Sept. 23, Palm Beach County Circuit Judge John S. Kastrenakes found Somerville in criminal contempt of the court.

How about this one. Florida woman told children to take off seat belts before crashing car.

I was already thinking WTF, but then I got to this part and really don't know what to think now...

“The devil can’t hurt you, he only hurts bad people,” Williams said just before the crash, according to the police report, which cited a witness whose name was redacted. “You have the light of Jesus in you and only Jesus can cure us,” according to the police report.

She clearly doesn't know her own children. Those brats had been stealing from the cookie jar as she slept for months already.

"I need a guy who could kill someone," Godfrey wrote, according to police.

Florida student body president faces impeachment for Donald Trump Jr.'s $50K campus visit

The University of Florida's student body president is facing calls for impeachment after paying Donald Trump Jr. $50,000 in student tuition fees to speak on campus.

Five student government senators allege president Michael Murphy abused his power when he brought Trump Jr. to campus for a speaking engagement last month. The impeachment resolution was first obtained by the Tampa Bay Times.

The senators argue that the university's student government policies prohibit using tuition funds "in support of or against a political party at any level," according to the resolution.

"Mr. Murphy not only endangered students marginalized by the speakers' white nationalist supporters," the resolution says, "but also abused his power to advance a particular political party at the expense of the students he should represent."
