April Fools Day Pranks [2019]

So now Intel is going the MCM route. They will be combining chips to get higher performance tiers, will be using custom API "called the One" to do the combining in software. First GPU releasing in June 2020. They will be adding chiplet GPUs exponentially each year to increase performance.

My personal opinion: pretty lame way to start off your new GPU initiative.

You know it’s April’s fools post, right? Look at the specs list at the bottom. DX14, 4D Xpoint, 31st June doesn’t exist, the graph is not exponential it’s linear, etc etc.

Admittedly I fell for it earlier... until this was pointed out

hahahaha wow, that's both funny and pathetic :D
The truth of April Fool's day summed up rather nicely, each year I get to dreading it just a bit more.

Mebbe I'm just old, but it's getting to be a bit predictable which is what makes it sad. It's been a while since someone has done something truly unique and original that really nailed me/made me laugh, and I fear as time goes on it's gonna be harder and harder to do as it's so much more of the same old same old each year.

I used to love April Fool's day, now it just vaguely annoys me for all the online noise.

Not a bad one by Intel though, I'll give them that...and the fact that they're sort of forced to do something for April 1st. Mebbe that's what I find so annoying, that people feel it's required now. It'd be more effective if people treated it as less of a holiday and more of a survival contest. (We used to get pretty savage in the old Hayden household on April 1st, 3 kids who were all on the rather brighter end of the spectrum in intelligence/creativity/boredom/love for tormenting their siblings and of course also me. It'd get interesting.)
