I don't get these awards . Best ongoing game ? Why are they all just multiplayer games ? Those games aren't ongoing each match ends. Shouldn't that be like a mmo type game where the game never actually stops ?

Pleasant surprise, thought RDR2 would take it tbh.

Never been this happy for a studio before. Congrats SSM... well deserved. GoW is one of the best games I've ever played, which in itself is a surprise since I started losing interest in the series.

GoW 100% deserved it, it's not perfect but has everything I wanted in a video game these days.

I thoroughly loved Obra Dinn, but I would never award it's art direction. It went for a cool gimmick, and render-wise, executed it very well. But the art assets, specially characters but not only them, do show that they are made by an amateur artist way more often than I wished they did. I imagine it is not as obvious too the untrained eye, but as a graphic designer and illustrator myself, I can't help but notice many off the classical amateur failings in the "shading", posing, and modeling on many places.
