CryptoCurrency Mining with GPUs *spawn*

My latest addition to my small mining farm is a Supermicro H8DGI-F 4U server with two AMD 12-core 6348 Opterons. My cost for this server was only $253. It has six PCIe slots (3 are PCIe x16) and four 6-pin VGA power cables.

AMD 12-core 6348 Opteron Specs:

I am mining Monero (Cryptonight). The two 6348 Opterons produce 947 H/s.
I added in three Nvidia GTX 750's (cost of $132) which increased the overall hash rate to 1660 H/s.

Power consumption is 500 watts at the wall.

I am still considering an ASRock Rack server with 4 x Xeon Phi 7210 for only $3000 ... but they can first deliver in May.

That nets you 11200 H/s at 1300-1350 W.

Have you contacted them and gotten a firm quote and delivery time?

Using the numbers above the system should pay for itself in about a year.

That's simply what others have quoted. I haven't made a direct inquiry about price nor estimated delivery date.
 
Also the use of GDDR5X and the relatively high quoted ETH performance of 47 MH/s (far better than what an 1080Ti achieves) seems fishy.
Something is missing or incorrect from that piece
 
They seem to be splitting the memory pool in two. Maybe that can help with ETH hashrates in conjunction with some BIOS magick? GTX 1070 with 256b G5 can do well over 30 already, while GTX 1080 with 256b G5X sits at 23-24 stock.
 
I can definetely accept the fact that G5X can reach better ETH mining performance than the current SKUs show.

But I doubt commiting engineering resources at this problem would be something that nVidia would do
 
If ETH is memory sensitive, perhaps NVidia has a BIOS tweak that makes the memory system work quite differently?
