Holy crap, you're not kidding! I've been toying with the idea of a new build, mostly just to scratch an itch I guess - something about the idea of dual-booting off dual NVMe SSDs gives me the naughty tingles.
The CPU was about what I expected, and I knew that GPU prices are silly at the moment. Motherboards... seem a little bit costy, but whatever. Then I looked up the price of RAM. I want to put at least 32GB in it and I am not paying £350 to do that thankyouverymuch! I remember the halcyon days of "just shove 8GB in it because it would be silly not to". Ho hum.
