Radeon GPU Profiler (RGP) is a new low-level performance analysis tool for modern AMD GPUs. There's a whole bunch of stuff in there that hasn't been doable in public tools before, and we've been working hard to get 1.0 done and out. 1.0 is primarily so we can get feedback, polish it up as much as possible based on that, and then have a crack at an ambitious roadmap.

I wrote a bit for GPUOpen on what it is, what it can do, why we made it, and where to get it if you'd like to take a look:

If you're at all interested in modern performance analysis for DX12 and Vulkan on PC, please take a look!

Thanks for the post Rys, I skimmed the gpuopen article and couldn't find if this would work on a 7850... so does it?

Apparently it's just these for now?
  • Radeon RX 400 and RX 500
  • Radeon R9 Fury, Fury X and Fury Nano
SideNote - Not sure why Tonga wouldn't be supported (since Fury is there) unless it's just a list for GPUs they tested so far.

I ain't even Furyous.

Might be because this hardware has hardware counters/logic previous GCN didn't have, anyway that's a good tool, reminescent of GPUView from MS.
