Yep sound is definitely improved. The interior visuals though need some upgrade. I believe they are using the PS3 assets

True its not aimed at me, but why the fuck would anyone want to watch others play games? I can understand it with sports (tiring and physically not able etc) but video games, surely its more fun doing it yourself

uhh... some games you just can't operate at that level and it's is fun to watch.
If there is a game you really like playing for instance, but you can't reach professional level, you appreciate watching the tournament scene; provided the broadcasting is good. I like watching both Halo 5 and SC2. I couldn't get into dota or league, but there are times in which I have watched it and some amazing things happened.
League, Dota and CS, SC are pretty international games. They're watched by all the major countries that play those games.

You mean on mainstream TV? Yea I don't think they have it in EU. Main viewership is from YouTube and twitch. But that being said the viewership numbers are still massive. No reason for it to have to make it onto mainstream TV for it to be popular or considered mainstream.
