Incredible shots guys, keep them coming. I do wonder what GG's next project would be tho and how much a new killzone would improve from Shadowfall.

Super offtopic, but I would probably like a 3rd person Killzone, with no more Uncharted coming PS could use a Gears equivalent!

I actually don't mind that at all, a Gears of War esque shooter using Decima would be nuts. COD and BF taking care of fps genre is good as it is so I guess it would work out.
 
Some material reflections don't play nice with checkerboard rendering, artifacts/flicker galore. It's not that distracting but it's definitely noticeable inside cauldrons. Switching to performance mode eliminates the issue.

I hope Ubi Soft(For Honor) or Insomniac will give a technical explanation about temporal injection. On Insomniac side, they said it is better than checkerboard rendering...
 
guess they just use the pro as a super ps4. If they designed with pro in mind from start, maybe some part of the code would be using FP16 compute and we'd see some gains here and there. Question is by how much could this improve the graphics/performance.
Maybe with their next game, or death stranding ?
 
Have enough PS4 Pro's been sold to justify such optimisations? In the case of Sony first parties, Sony may feel it's worth the investment to promote the machine.

They will do it in the case of first party... Christophe Balestra(ex ND soon) was in an IGDA event in France and he told that make the hardware shine is one mission gave by SIE to all first party... At the time it was after Uncharted 2 launch and it was the PS3 now it is the PS4 and PS4 Pro... And I am sure some third party will do some effort...

EDIT: And it will not be at the detriment of the PS4 version...

The shadowmap filtering is really exceptional, no flicker or artifacting 99% of the time, makes UC4 look bad by comparison in that aspect, Aloy gets a special treatment during gameplay but regular npcs don't look bad either

This could work for future titles. Rise was still great to play on Xbox One. Though it could be too expensive to develop titles which such a big discrepancy, as opposed what basically comes down to change some sliders up or down a bit like they seem to do now
