I got it in my Steam library :)
Downloading now to check the difference and maybe have some fun in the game again!

I asked before can you use the new exe with the old game
now wrt Moloch's post can you use the old audio files with the new game ?

Regarding the file size difference between the special edition and original with all DLC one culprit is that they either made a mistake or tried to pull a fast one and used extremely compressed audio instead lossless wave files like the original.
It was probably a mistake as this only affects the PC and Xbox versions of the game. The PS4 version, which uses a different audio format, is fine.

I followed a guide I found on reddit to use the original audio assets from Skyrim, you unpack the Sounds.bsa using BSAUnpacker.exe from the original install (giving you the .wav files), compress the folders as a .7zip and then use Nexus Mod Manager to add it to the game.
There's not really a need for the mod to do this, except that he/she processed the original audio files which may be desirable for some and of course cutting down on steps needed to have non-shitty game audio, I'll just stick with the originals until Bethesda patches it as their remaster should hopefully sound better than the mod.

You can't use ENB's on consoles as it's a 3rd party dll that injects into the shaders itself.

ah, okay, it's a pity. What ENB mod are you using? Maybe I could share some pics of my modded console version once I have all the mods I want to try.

Hmmm, I didn't know about that one. I read some articles about ENBs, and they also recommend this combo.

Real Vision ENB

Project Reality – Climates of Tamriel

You get graphics like this. Even Shifty couldn't discern it from a real photo, I think.

The ENB below is also a recommended one.

Natural lightin and atmospheric ENB

Additionally, a guy has recreated Game of Thrones Season 1 Trailer with Skyrim using almost 300 mods. He's very talented.

Those are for Skyrim 32bit, otherwise now known as Oldrim. Due to all the changes with the engine for Skyrim SE, primarily 64-bit and DX11 renderer, none of those old ENBs and associated mods can be used on the new version. The ENB dev has to basically start from scratch for SE and it's a lot more difficult for him as well. We won't see anything like that soon.

Here is the new separated nexusmods for the Special Edition

I showed this to my wife, and after she complained about clover not being realistic there, she said that if she could be here in Virtual Reality, she'd be up for playing this (first time ever she said something like that). But then of course she adds 'but no monsters!'. But I guess there's probably a no monster mod or there will be by then. ;)

This is after she played Pinball FX2 yesterday, where she didn't care too much for the pinball itself, but she really loved to be in that VR building.

uh... so i just found out the mods for Skyrim doesnt work for Skyrim VR. It compatible with Skyrim SE. (fortunately old skyrim saves works with skyrim SE so i suspect also works for Skyrim VR, hasnt tried yet)

So i need your help, what mods i need to install to have sweet-looking Skyrim VR?

thankyou
