Nvidia Pascal Reviews [1080XP, 1080ti, 1080, 1070ti, 1070, 1060, 1050, and 1030]

Does anyone remember a review that compared 1070 performance with respect to memory clocks (independent of core)? I've got a juicy core clock on this thing but I'm very mildly disappointed in the memory.

Review: Aorus X5 v6
And the good news for anyone who tends to shy away from typically gaudy gaming laptops is that the Aorus design continues to appear sleeker than many of its competitors.
...
Underneath the hood you'll find a quad-core Intel Core i7-6820HK processor, Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 graphics, 16GB (2x8GB) of DDR4-2400 memory and storage courtesy of a 256GB Samsung M.2 NVMe SSD and a 1TB Hitachi hard disk. An awesome mix for a 15.6in gaming machine, and Aorus's decision to move away from SLI means that performance should be consistent between games.

1050 ti from Digital Foundry

http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-2016-nvidia-geforce-gtx-1050-ti-review

"The Zotac board we were provided with happily boosts to 1650MHz out of the box without breaking a sweat, and overclocking taps out at 1850MHz, without exceeding that hard 75W limit."

Trades blows with the 960 out the box, beats the 460 by a reasonable chunk.

"It's an absolutely tiny card, it's virtually silent, and the fact that it runs so cool"

"Brutally efficient and highly frugal, the GTX 1050 Ti is a clear winner in its £140/$140 price category, easily outclassing both of the factory overclocked RX 460 4GB models we were sent for testing. What Nvidia has managed to extract from the minuscule 75W offered by the motherboard PCI Express power line is quite remarkable, and as a simple plug-and-go replacement for lower-end desktop PCs, there's nothing on the market quite like it."

However its value is underwhelming citing 35% more for a 1060 3GB with 60% more performance and the 470.

The table also highlights that AMD still has a long way to go before it can challenge Nvidia in the efficiency stakes. The factory overclocked RX 460 we had for testing is actually offering lower performance than the GTX 950 in this test, and its efficiency gain at 14nm is only slight compared to the last-gen GeForce at 28nm. In this particular title - Crysis 3 - the GTX 1050 Ti without a factory overclock is offering 25 per cent more performance with a 14 per cent efficiency advantage over the Asus Strix RX 460 we had for review.

GTX 1050 Ti's efficiency is impressive, but GTX 1060 is still exceptional. The more expensive card offers 71 per cent more performance in this game, requiring only 39 per cent more juice. One thing we do have to bear in mind is that the new GP107 found in GTX 1050 Ti actually uses a very different production technology - Samsung's 14nm FinFET process, compared to the 16nmFF technology used in every other Pascal processor. However, the high overclocking results do demonstrate that Pascal scales nicely between competing process nodes.

Sad to see both AnandTech and The Tech Report have fallen so far behind in reviewing GPU's.

looks like voltage wise overclocking, the 1050's are staying with in the same range as TSMC's 16nm Pascal's around 1.05 volts, looks to me Samsung's 14nm and TSMC's 16nm are fairly close.

*uses google translate to read computerbase's review*

*notices in the table on the first page that the memory clockspeed is translated as "Saving act"*

Oh, Google Translate, never change.

Do any of the reviews note what the idle voltages are for the cards?
(or the voltage of the lower clock/voltage set points?)

750 TI's a good 20-30% or more slower depending on the game at launch, IIRC(Tech Report's got a weird result where Tomb Raider 2014 is just barely slower than a 650 Ti Boost, which is basically a 660 but with one SMX disabled and the full memory/ROP setup intact). I don't think anybody did a comparison with it and the GTX 660 after Maxwell 1.0 had had several months of driver updates to sort stuff out a bit more, so who knows what the actual difference is now.

Can't really be a proxy in this case... The perils of owning four year old hardware. :(

The RX470 is clearly the card to get, even if it's a bit more expensive and consumes a bit more power. GP107 is only good for laptops really. . .
