Handful of Doom Devs on a leaky kickstarter are gonna save themselves. Exactly!

I don't blame them I mean why would you set up in a place like the US where the corporate tax rate is ludicrous unless you're a multinational who can legally cheat on your taxes.
 
Two guys on a project with only few concept drawings, jumping on crowdfunding campaign -- color me sceptical on the delivery side.
Also, quite few peeps out there will recall the Daikatana fiasco, ages ago.
 
Hopefully they learned from Daikatana. I don't hate Daikatana because it was a bad game. I hate Daikatana because it meant Anachronox never got a chance to be finished.

Not many of the top developers of the 90s have been able to maintain remain top of the heap & nor maintailn the high standards they set for themselves, given the march of technology, the evolution in game development, evolution of their genres, and the aging of their brains.

Here's hoping they break that trend.
