I'd like to do a little coding on my GBA. I may even incorporate it into a case mod in my computer, to display temps or whatever... this freaking thing is full of possiblities...

Less than $50 is a plus.

Even though this will probably be locked you're going to have a tough time finding one for less than 100 dollars that's worth a damn. If you just want to do development then you could use an emulator - they are generally pretty close.

use an emulator to test. if you really to do real field testing them www.liksang.com carries some direct PC-to-gba (not flash carts, have to be connected to the PC via USB) dev tools which you may find interesting.
