So after nixing the Titan V configuration (no SLI/NVL support), I went back to my original plan of a Titan XP SLI configuration. Thanks to Grall, for the heads-up on the lack of tri/quad SLI Pascal support. The reason for the Titan Z setup replacement was over some bad GPU bottlenecking performance that I was receiving from today’s demanding engines (games). I wanted to recapture that silky locked 60 framerate, 4K gaming, all eye-candy max settings, which I received over the years (2014-17) with my Titan Zs. In addition, I needed a more beefy GPU configuration for editing/rendering Adobe Premiere 8-12K video projects. The Titan Z (SLI) are perfectly fine for yesteryears gaming (4K/60fps), and quite capable of handling todays demanding settings (4K/30-45fps). Anyhow, some quick benchmarks below.

So how does a $2400 dollar Titan XP SLI setup compare to a $3000 Titan V setup? Well, pretty good, considering that I spent $600 dollars less for a setup, with similar to better performance.

How much did you find those X5690s for? I'm looking for a 5690 or 5670, because the multi of the 5650 I have isn't enough for my mobo.

They cost me a pretty penny back in the day... however, you can find them on Amazon for about $250-$350.
 
Wow I thought my PC was good.

This is my main rig:

Just deep cleaned the fans, about a week ago. It was pretty rewarding to see how much crap I cleaned out. I love this case, I've had it for years. It and my power supply have lasted me an eternity, and through about three builds. However, I'm in the market for something that can keep my stuff cooler, I just haven't seen anything worth buying yet.

The monitor and peripherals are really nothing to write home about. But this is:

My living room is still a mess, but I got my monitor(40" Samsung curved 4k TV), so had to post. I'm never getting off the couch again :)

OC'd Nano is driving the monitor surprisingly well and I can always drop the res if needed. I tried Witcher 3 in ultrawide 3840x1620 and it was fantastic. 1440p also works well and gives me a huge FPS boost if needed. 1080P starts to look very rough, but I can move the TV back and forth if needed (it rotates and moves in every direction) and also move the TV-stand next to the couch freely.

PC has horizontal motherboard, picture is from the top. 4 120mm fans sucking dust filtered air in and only exhaust is the AIO CPU cooler with 1 120mm fan + positive pressure pushing air out. I will remove the fan and the shroud from GPU and replace it with a Be Quiet Silent Wings 92mm fan, which should a lot cooler and quieter compared to the stock fan (Many have done this mod), With the mod I should be able to run stock Fury X speeds on the core in a quiet enough manner.

Still on Win7 because it never prompts me to upgrade to 10. I think MS thinks my copy of Win7 is not legit which is ridiculous I bought it from my university.

Question about my memory: I thought the tRAS timing had to be greater than the other big 3 timings (CL, tRCD, and tRP). My timings are currently 9-11-11-28. Now 9+11+11=31, so how can my tRAS be at 28?

You may just have an update which failed/hidden which is required. You can just go to microsoft.com/windows10 and download the installer which will perform the upgrades necessary and report any issues you might have.

How are you enjoying your drone?

I have not used it specifically for fun, only for work. But it was fun. So I guess I did used it for fun lol.

It's also surprisingly easy to command and can handle strong winds. I have not tried to fly it in manual mode and directly control it though... Dunno how it in manual mode compares with basic r/c plane.

Generally the problem I got is evading human when Mapping villages. They love to follow the copter around. Even playing "can you spot it". Then there's also a bunch of technical glitches like stuttering video stream and the app that says signal lost despite the copter still following commands.

According to YouTube videos (okay okay, not a scientific research), that copter should be able to automatically come home and made safe landing, even after a mid-air crash. It can recover itself it mid air.

The huge problem is when there's weird magnetic field or when the battery glitches. It's basically become a flying balloon that just drift. Or become a brick, plummeting into ground.

When there's a parachute for it available for sale. Gonna buy it, fast.

Not that the copter ever crash or something. But it's better be safe than sorry.
