XBox Ultimate Game Sales, Summer of Arcade

Eurogamer points out that the XBOX Summer sale prices are already live. Officially it launches tommorrow (presumably with easy links to discounted games) but if you look at the games in the store directly the prices are already up.

I've already put some wedge down on Shadow of Mordor and Lego Batman. [Edit] And Tales from the Borderlands!

I am considering Wolfenstein, and shall check Digital Foundry articles to know the framerate. But there is still a long way to go before getting to know the promised list of 70+ games. Others on the list are interesting, but it depends on the framerate.

Lego Batman 3 Deluxe Edition purchased.

I already own a good portion of the games listed though, Borderlands: The Handsome Collection, the entire Telltale Collection, Halo: MCC, Shadow of Mordor, Titanfall.

I'm considering the following depending on the actual discounts: Diablo 3, Ori and the Blind Forest, Dragon Age Inquisition, Farcry 4, GTA V, Saints Row 4.

Diablo 3!! Yup, Ori too. The others...wait patiently and see what appeals to you.

Pulled the trigger and picked up KI Season 2, Ori and heck even Lego Batman. At that price, even if it stinks, it's a small investment although I've heard good things about it.

Any other good games I should be getting? Already got Diablo 3.

I was just on and yes prices are showing (Edit: once you click on to the title). US region anyway. I finished installing KI season 2 and have Lego Batman and Ori in the queue.
Lego Batman was $13.75 I think, with KI S2 around $23 and Ori around $15.

Slender The Arrival (it's been a while since I wanted this game, and framerate is smooth, reviews say), Legend of Korra (super mediocre Metacritic scores, but it's 60 fps and it's Legend of Korra, so why not?), for me.

Great, I got Slender The Arrival (finally some terror) and Legend of Korra -both downloading, shall play them tomorrow-. But I am planning on getting Mass Effect too, now that you mentioned it... it is backwards compatible too...

My non-pro impressions (I have the game but haven't past the first stage), is that it is very similar to the first game -which I played quite a bit- and it is worth it. The game runs very smoothly, it is fun and mixes a bit of platforming, adventure and puzzle solving in a smart way, using an isometric camera view.

They no longer sell Titanfall without the bundle, I think. It's just marketing packaging, to make it look like a better value. Think of it as a GOTY Edition.

I forgot about The Orange Box, I enjoyed the art style of The Orange Box back in the day. Mass Effect is in my wish list too. I only have bought Slender The Arrival and The Legend of Korra for now.

The new Lara game might suit you, but I don't know, time is scarce for you and it should be on sale someday in the future, so there is no hurry. I am thinking on getting Mass Effect 1 and The Orange Box, too, although I don't know when I am going to play them.

I love The Legend of Korra and Slender The Arrival isn't bad either -just too scary for me, it creeps me out, I advance in small doses-. Slender The Arrival does a great job on representing the little light you can see at night, it's pitch dark sometimes like it should be, but you have a flashlight. It's really well done in that sense.

For anyone which wants to have fun and also for those with kids, The Legend of Korra is a win win in my book.

If you have a friend who is part of the Preview program and you ask them to send you an invite you should be able to play the current small list of BC games, as long as you have one of those from the X360 days.

It's something, I didn't play a Lego game ever, except for the demo of Lego Indiana Jones, which was fun, but never got into it.

The only issue I have with Lego Batman is knowing what to do next. It could really do with an current objective view in the menu.

The puzzles aren't too difficult, but I suspect that the game was made primarily for a younger audience with maybe parental advice in mind. In other words a family around the set type of game.

It's slow going for me when I play as the wife wants to be around to "help" and watch the story part of the game.

Switching topics: Ori is Awesome! Just finished the Ginso tree level and whoa was that a rush. Hard it definitely is. Loving this game.
