Image Quality and Framebuffer Speculations for WIP/alpha/beta/E3 games *Read the first post*

1552*1080*20Bpp ~31.97MB

20Bpp = 2x FP16 (2x 8Bpp) + 4Bpp Depth

1552 integer divisible by 16

1552/1920= 97/120

Nothing in particular. :p Perhaps a particular annoyance (97/120) if it ever comes up for analysis.

Seems like such a missed opportunity using esram as only a back buffer holder no?

Anyone else see it that way? 80% of the GPU's available bandwidth being filled with the render target. The remaining bandwidth is in contention with the CPU.

The vertical res looks compromised in this video (quality is rather bad, either way).

There are also some ghosting/striping artefacts. Maybe they're using the KZSF MP temporal reprojection reconstruction (but in the Y-axis)?

The HUD/UI has very noticeable artefacts with the main scene.

That's what I thought at first (video issue), but that is some weird stuff happening only on the HUD.

Anyways, best to wait for HQ feed (as always).

Max 800p is what Globalisateur said, not 900p. And my guess is still that the ps4 version is running in native 1080p, but with soms heavy fps dips. Reason why i think that is that all the ps4 content had geen native until now.

I think SE themselves said the demo wont be 1080P

Edit Yup: http://www.dualshockers.com/2015/02...e-1080p30-fps-still-the-target-for-full-game/

During the Active Time Report Page 4.0 broadcast, Game Director Hajime Tabata mentioned that the Final Fantasy XV demo Episode Duscae won’t quite reach full 1080p/30 Frames per second.

While he did not give further specific, he also clarified that the 1080p/30 FPS resolution and frame rate combo remains the target for the full game, and the team will continue working hard to achieve that goal.
