What's a good USB 3.0 external DVD burner?

My recent upgrade forced me to remove my faithful DVD burner from my rig, it's an IDE model that just would not die but my mobo has no IDE interface...so I figure an external one would be good since none of the rigs in my house have optical drives on 'em.

I'd like something cheap and fast, 3.0 but 2.0 compatible. Poking around a bit this morning I found this one at Amazon, but I thought I'd check here since I'm seriously not up to date with this stuff.

What on earth would you still use a DVD burner for?

Get an external 5.25 case with usb3/esata to sata and add in a standard blu-ray burner.

Price and compatibility is why. DVDs are cheap as dirt, as are their burners. Also none of the friends I make DVDs for can afford Bullray, so it's a win-win.

Personally I just avoid using optical drives all together, but it's good to at least have one if you need it. Found this one at Newegg for $22 shipped after code on sale until Monday and I think I'm gonna get it.
