The Role

A hands-on software engineering position in a growing team to help with implementing custom "one-off" features to our 3D POWERVR drivers for specific customers. Additionally from time-to-time you may be involved in the maintenance of mainstream drivers on specific customer hardware platforms (verification, implementation (or circumvention) of missing features, and bug fixing).


Examples of projects undertaken include

• Helping customers ensure that the graphics performance of their end-products is as high as possible, prior to release
• Development of custom flip-chain arrangements for 3D scene composition
• Implementing 3D Display Drivers to interface customers’ own LCDs with POWERVR 3D Graphics Drivers
• Implementing custom texture-stream drivers to allow video feeds from customers’ own hardware devices to be integrated into 3D-rendered scenes.

Become a member of this exciting, innovative department, providing our customers with a bespoke "made-to-measure" tailoring service, aimed at Imagination’s POWERVR drivers for the very latest 3D hardware. Our engineers listen to customer’s needs, consult with the full range of POWERVR driver software teams to identify the best way to go about a customer problem, and then implement and verify the solution. The team is also charged with ensuring that the latest POWERVR drivers continue to work seamlessly on a variety of customer-provided hardware platforms, providing maintenance as needed.
