Well 7 might feel long, but I recalled it being 7 as well cause it was compared to the 15 minutes of the other console so it felt short.

ARG's. Alternate reality games or whatever.

Like there's no way to turn off DRM, right? I guess it does give an indication of their thinking though. Maybe.

Also his actual quote is much less bold than the headline
Well, as Silent_Buddha said they confirmed that yes, the Xbox One will never sell without Kinect. They went further and said "Xbox One is Kinect".

Additionally, they are thinking about supporting Oculus Rift in the future.

Uhm, i recall reading an earlier news clip that it was the last 7 minutes.

Found this bit about it being 5 minutes and the 30 seconds being the quick-save functionality for later editing/uploading -- http://videogamesandnews.com/ps4-vs-xbox-one-built-in-game-dvr-live-streaming-features/

And here's a blurb saying its 5 minutes -- http://uk.gamespot.com/news/xbox-one-records-last-5-minutes-of-gameplay-6411844
Interesting...

I wonder if what this article says is true. They mention that those last 30 seconds are recorded at 720p and 60 fps

automatically records and (given permission) shares the past 30 seconds of gameplay in 720p and at 60 frames a second.

They also say that the new Xbox Dashboard will allow up to 6 people to be logged in connected at once in a single console.

Yeah, that was from last week's answers. Check out the today's video for a demo of Upload Studio shown at Gamescom...

Looks pretty cool.

It it's pretty cool :)

Hmm. They make it sound like there is no way to get the video from Upload Studio out of the Xbox ecosystem. Maybe you'll be able to rip them from Xbox.com?

I hope browsing and viewing videos isn't limit to just xbox and/or Gold members. I doubt it, but I haven't seen an clarification.

I hope the videos are web page embedable.

Indeed. I hope there are download links for videos in your channel.

You know it's console wars time by the number of dislikes videos like these get.

Pretty nice clip system they have designed there as usual... very cool

Didn't think of the Kinect camera embed. Nice.

I haven't been successful finding anything else on Upload Studio. I believe Game DVR was said to be behind the Gold pay wall. Hopefully that's only for recording & not playing. They have been mentioning that the friends system works a lot like Twitter were you can have unlimited followers but can only follow 1000 or so friends. This was(I think) to be a part of some kind of social page similar to Facebook, Twitter, etc. Would be neat to have a public timeline where you see all your public posts, game videos, achievements, etc & all accessible from the dash or the web. Maybe that's where the unlimited cloud storage comes into play?

I think the last 7 minutes was a confusion by Eurogamer about the PS4 recording functionality where they translated "several" to "seven."

Xbox One was either 5 minutes or 10 minutes or something, can't remember. I don't remember 7 minutes being correctly associated with anything.

Looks like only 90 minutes total to cover these 3 topics though: Kabini, Xbox One, Clovertrail. 30 minutes doesn't seem like long enough to get a lot of details does it?

Probably not, but I'm hoping to something very similar to what MS did for the 360: http://www.hotchips.org/wp-content/uploads/hc_archives/hc17/3_Tue/HC17.S8/HC17.S8T4.pdf

I'm hoping they give indication of the final CPU clock, any customization to the GPU/CPU, further explanation of the choice of eSRAM, and maybe some synthetic benchmarks.

A die shot would be awesome too.

So your last 5 minutes are available each time you enter Game DVR, plus 30 second clips from whenever you've said "save that".

I think there is a lot they can safely say. I hope so! I wish they tell things we don't know about the console.

News:

Dying Light developers say they prefer the Xbox One as a console.
