Halo 4

Everyone releases supersampled screenshots, just look at Last of Us from the PS3 side.

As for the H4 announcement CG trailer, that was obviously never meant to be sold as ingame footage, neither the ODST trailers or the Stary Sky from Halo 3.

maybe the game is for Xbox 3 as well? The announcement trailer did not seem that farfetched to be honest (although I watched it on a livestream so the quality might have been compromised)

No, the game is only for the 360, the bullshots were made so the screens don't look like butt in magazines. The pre-rendered announcement trailer was very much, and obviously, pre-rendered and was in no way meant to represent how the game would look during gameplay.

If these things aren't immediately apparent you, then you have some homework to do. :p

FYI 343 has been built from industry veterans who were already accomplished game devs before joining the new Halo team. "Noobs" is not the right term IMHO.

Perhaps he meant new to Halo. Some franchises don't transition well after moving to a different developer, no matter how experienced the team is. It's not hard to believe that Bungie has a certain culture that's difficult to reproduce.

In this case it wasn't about farming a franchise out to an existing team, but building the studio from the ground up with a decade long future in mind, relying on a lot of ex-Bungie personnel in the process (Frankie O'Connor has been there from the start, for example).

Yeah, they do have to prove themselves, but on the other hand this also means that the new game may offer a fresh perspective. There's the visual design for example, some people have been complaining about Halo's graphics for ages and now the new team seems to put a big focus on improving everything...

E3 2012: Frank O'Connor on Halo 4 – 'Spartan Ops could run for years.

In the run-up to E3, developer 343 Industries has been slowly unveiling the key new features of Halo 4. Back in spring we discovered that the single-player campaign would once again be following Master Chief – only this time in a new fight against an ancient force. The smart money, of course, is on the Forerunners, the super advanced race responsible for the mega Halo structures.

On top of that, we know a little about how multiplayer will work. The whole mode will have a narrative wraparound, based on the UNSC Infinity, which acts as a hub world to the action. Here, players will get to test the new Spartan Ops mode, an intriguing episodic co-op campaign, set to be delivered in chapters in the weeks after the game's release, and accompanied by epic cinematic sequences.

It's also where we'll experience War Games, the new name for competitive multiplayer combat in Halo 4. Here players will compete against each other in a range of play modes, customising their load-outs and activating new combat enhancements called "Specialisations", which augment key elements of individual play styles.

In the last week before E3, we got the chance to put some questions to franchise development director Frank O'Connor about the new features, and what we can expect at E3. Here's what he said in our exclusive chat.

great music and nice gfx. New enemies looks good and i like the animation . Combat seems entertaining too. Great game!!

I downloaded both HQ versions of the b-roll footage, and would recommend everyone else do the same! I am really impressed that they managed to make a game that was is not only better looking than the previous Xbox 360 Halo games, but also seemingly manage to drastically improve the poor IQ the series has had since the launch of Halo 3. Here's to hoping the gameplay can match up to the visuals!

The other games werent that impressive looking ;)
My disappointment was huge with Halo 3 and Halo Reach
But Halo 4 stands so well as its own that it goes head to head with everything we have seen so far on the consoles. This one is indeed impressive! And probably the best looking first person shooter on tis generation of consoles
This is how a Halo should have been on the 360 from the first place,
