Feasibility of Cell emulation

sticking a Cell for BC in the PS4 would cost a lot?, if you're going to put the 256MB XDR along it.
it doesn't feel easy, you need a lot of bandwith from Cell to GPU and a lot of it from Cell to memory, using maybe a fast coherent link to main CPU if you want to rid of the XDR.

it's not like the old time where you would just put a Z80 along your 68k, use it either for sound or for BC with the sega master system.

I like the idea of a four-or-something core modern PPU with 8 same old SPE.

Could optical interconnect technology be feasible if we were dealing with 2014-2015? Or is there some manufacturing cost that would make it inherently prohibitive outside the supercomputer field?

4 cores would be good, but seeing as sony was able to fit 4 spu vs 1 core this gen, would a fourth core actually be better than 4 additional spus(3 core 12 spu design)?

Do you think memory subsystem of PS4 cannot surpass XDR @ 2005?
To survive a 10 year console cycle it will need to be at least 2X of PC B/W at the moment of launch, whenever it comes.
