Take on Helicopters

I absolutely loved the idea behind Test Drive 5(?)

Have you got the right game, the whole idea of the testdrive games was european exotic's vs american muscle cars. plus td5 was pretty bad imho,
the competing nfs nfs-3 hot pursuit was far better

I think I have the right game; the one where you drive around an island? With multiplayer. The openness, freedom, multiplayer combined with organized 'races' was really fun. I haven't picked it up because it's hard to go back to arcade style vehicle physics...but the game layout was a cool idea.

Test Drive 5 (1998)

I think you mean testdrive unlimited

Yeah, obviously that one. Again regarding TDU, the setting; the implementation of the premises felt like 'freedom' in a car driving world, which I liked, realistic physics notwithstanding.

Some programming nerd was trying to convince me the latest Need For Speed had great accurate physics. Based on previous experience, I had serious doubts...

ps no matter how much I've grown up and grown boring I still have a childish like of the 1999 era Viper GTS.

we released the game and here is launch trailer :)

Is this using the ARMA engine? I see that it is DX9 only and I didn't know the ARMA engine supported DX9.

Regardless it looks frickin great.

it's improved version of ARMA 2: OA engine, which was always DX9

ARMA 3 will be DX11

Flight Model is completely different and N times more complex on simulation side than A2:OA one ...

Quote from one of the devs - I like this guy
Whatever the read me says about Steam compatibility, well, scrap that, some nugget is getting a clobbering for writing such inaccurate drivel as we speak.

great minds
Humus, I would like a big favour
could you ask the guy who did the keybindings why he left out weapon pickup and the horn (I'd be really interested in hearing his explanation)
and then could you slap him....

Finally DEMO!!!!

I will fly probably this evening!
Thanks!

This game is on my list to get if it goes on Sale at Steam ;)

new TOH beta brings new surprise (tho expected) in post-process anti-aliasing modes
and that's implementation of SMAA (enhanced subpixel morphological antialiasing)
next to already existing FXAA (fast approximate AA),
btw. FXAA in TOH has FXAAsharpen filter hardcoded as enabled compared to OA where is optional in config

read readme_smaa.txt and readme_fxaa.txt for more details

5th)
more news later this or next week :) stay tuned and watch our pages
