Hey when is Tim Sweeney going to chime in and recommend we just do GPGPU-driven software rendering?

Tim Sweeney has been awfully quiet of late, unless I'm just not looking in the right places. Used to love hearing/reading his view on things. The last I heard from him was easily more than a year ago, on that very topic. If anyone has more recent links, I'd appreciate them.

We need to get Sweeney and Carmack together for a couple of hours and film the ensuing conversation.

From Reading on what John said about API, it seems we might want a Modern, New, Lower Level API.

But isn't that what is Future OpenGL moving towards?
