Less excessive swearing is the best news of all for me, unless I somehow have access to a 3D screen by then.

Definitely much appreciated. Now all that's left is for them to kill off Rico as early as possible, hopefully in the most gruesome fashion imaginable, and I'm sold. Seriously, I don't think I've ever loathed a game character as much as this foul mouthed asshole.

That would definitely be an efficient way to kill two birds with one stone.

Oh Yes! I wanna know that too ! THey had shown HDR in the reveal gameplay of KZ2 but removed it by the time the game shipped . Is it in this time ? Please please say yes ! :D

And when KZ2 was released they said they have realtime radiosity working in-game, but not optimised enough to be put in KZ2. Is it in now ? Oh please please say yes !

I'd be more than pleased to have dynamic light shafts, some real time AO for moving objects & some baked radiosity....HDR is on my least wanted list for now.

Look at this slide:

What exactly does dynamic radiocity do ?

assen mentioned "Classical radiosity" here:

Classical radiosity, for example, where every patch of the scene interacts with every other, is not embarrassingly parallelizable. I thing the updating of hierarchies needed for raytracing of dynamic scenes isn't, either.

They need to have you able to order him to stand in a room of munitions, and then you toss in the grenade. Or something similar. Did anyone play this game and not repeatedly shoot him in the head on the stairs up to Vizari in revenge of his total inadequacies?

Streaming technology confirmation for killzone 3 into the Steven Ter Heide(GG) interview by Eurogamer, the texture will probably be better this time.

I think some of the other criticisms had to do with how seamlessly the game played - so any streaming hiccups during gameplay we want to get rid of completely - so much so that we want to completely get rid of any loading screens at all, even between the levels. So you can start up the game and play it right through to the end and never see a loading screen. You can see already, even in this build, that a lot of those problems, the little frame drops, are pretty much gone.

YES !!! One of the biggest issues getting tackled.

If they can come up with an "accessible" control without losing the feel too much, then more people will appreciate the game.

Global Illumination.

Someone asked about the same slide back in 2007. A KZ2 developer replied:

...

We are also researching dynamic radiosity which does indeed mean real-time radiosity lighting. We have got some ideas, but if it works it'll be so late that we can't put it into this game, as we're steaming ahead in full production.

The PlayStation 3 does definitely have the horsepower to do all this though. If it won't be in KZ2 it'll definitely be in other titles from us or other PS3 developers.

...

Is it just me or does KZ3 look more like Reach then KZ2?
I mean it looks good and all,but somehow empty...probably it will change in motion,E3,hurry up!

Heh, I totally ignored the people and stared at the video. The clip has good length and it looks enticing. I can tell the powdery effect is still there. The lens flare is not that obvious though.

The instrument panels in the Avatar movie has the most apparent 3D effect. I can already imagine how GG will apply stereoscopic 3D over the gun turret screen.

The most significant improvement so far is....
I didn't see any micro-loading in the entire clip 8^D. So the streaming system is already in-place, at least for the demo level

As for the screenshots, the ocean one stands out the most, reminds me of Lair's. I can almost imagine a giant sea serpent pop out of it. :p

Games Radar impressions:
http://www.gamesradar.com/ps3/killz...a-20100527112150261070/g-20100322135430902061

Says...

1. It looks even better
2. It'll feature more vehicles
3. The jetpacks are fun
4. Your AI partners will be more useful this time [fingers crossed]
5. The guns are bigger
6. The close-quarters violence is more brutal than ever

... and

What we played was impressive ? a lot more impressive than Killzone 2

^_^

EDIT:
And LittleBigPlanet 2. And Move. And GRAN TURISMO 5.

Is Socom 4 early 2011 or fall 2010 ?

Looks like theyre we've found the cause of the oil leak in the gulf of new mexico.
screens dont look that good, lacking contrast.
Though due to its rendering engine, killzone is a game that has to be viewed in motion to make a correct judgement, In saying that a snowsetting isnt the best place to showcase this!
