Based on a new and enhanced 'Isaiah' architecture, and taking advantages of key fabrication optimizations, the latest VIA Nano 3000 Series processors deliver improved computational performance of approx twenty percent while also using up to twenty percent less energy overall.

Building on the key features that made the VIA Nano processor a success, VIA Nano 3000 series processors now support a host of advanced features including 64-bit support, advanced CPU virtualization technology, SSE4 for enhanced multimedia processing, and the industry-leading encryption and security capabilities integrated in the VIA PadLock™ Security Engine.

Seems VIA has enhanced the Nano architechture if they're getting 20% more performance and 20% less power consumption with the Nano 3000 series compared to the previous Nano 2000 series. Nice work there, Centaur engineers.

Also another improvement over the older Nano 2000 is the support for SSE4, I wonder if they support both SSE4.1(Penryn) and SSE4.2(Nehalem) or just SSE4.1, VIA could have been clearer on this. Older Nano 2000 only supported up to SSSE3(Conroe).

sounds good, to bad its not out now. I went with an amd dual core neo with the hd 3200 and switchable to 4330. Works well but the battery life could be better.

I would like that CPU soldered on a micro ATX main board (or mini ITX), with two dimm slots and perhaps an internal SD slot. (poor man's SSD to install an OS on). even with a VIA IGP ; if gaming is a concern just plug a PCIe 16x card in. Use either an old one, or a GT218 board with ddr3 : ION is overpriced, so a non-ION board plus graphics card should cost about the same and stomp it in performance.

In essence a product similar to Atom boards, but with much higher single-thread performance.
