Disney Dino´s

I watch this disney movie and i just can say wow, how can they do that`?
Questions i have is;

Is ILM involved in that and--?

The point is how can nVidia claim that they can render 100 dinos @ 100 frames/s. I mean, it must be illegal or something!?, no :?:

Nope, ILM wasn't involved in Disney's Dinosaur. The movie was a combination of live-action backgrounds and CGI produced by Disney's former in-house CGI department called 'The Secret Lab'.

I was under the impression that it was the Jurassic Park T-Rex's. The original T-Rex was something like 80,000 polygons, but I think they can simplify the polycount by using normal maps for detail instead.

If it was only 80k polygons, it likely was already simplified by normal maps.
