I guess they saw the Onlive demostration

Something like the Onlive technology coupled with a powerfull Console running an advanced client could be the future of gaming. I don´t know how feasible it is to decouple the render engine from the actual drawing of the scene. But compared to just streaming video it might be a tad more interesting

What i meant was running every game in a cloud and only displaying the graphics. Just like onlive but not via streaming video. But rather something else, like a display list.

Their example looks like an elaborate MMO client. It doesnt look like an all purpose gaming client.

OK, yeah I guess that is an application where the advantages are very obvious, big dynamic world etc..

Edit: I think the client side could look the same regardless of the game running on the server, but there are many ways to implement this. You could download a special plug-in for every game or etc. etc.

Mass faction battles on Storm Peaks / Icecrown and in any Northrend zone, ganking everywhere and make grouping /raiding a required feat just to level up?

Depends on your needs. There is one feature that I'm happy about because it resolves one of my current big gripes...

2.70 is coming tomorrow from what I hear, most exciting update is text chat via XMB and within PS3 games, but there are some other cool little features added.

Text Chat in XMB and ingame, Backup and Restore option now also include videos purchased from PSN store, Internet Search is added to the option menu of each game, Copy/Paste in Internet browser, & attachment size in messages increased to 3MB.

If true, this would be relevant to me. I bought all the episodes for Heroes and Battlestar Galatica. I wonder if I can restore them to a different PS3 if I deactivate the old one.

If you have the space, a full-size Bluetooth keyboard works much better. The Logitech PS3 one maps the Playstation buttons to designated keys as well.

In-game web browsing is already used in several PS3 applications, including Xi in Home (for looking up clues in ARG). I guess in-game Internet Search -- assuming the rumor is true -- would activate the icon in in-game XMB.

It doesn't say internet search in-game. I read it as an option in the xmb triangle menu. Kind of a short cut to the browser so you don't have to type in the search string.

For some reason, I have more faith in this piece than the other 2.7 rumors. Let's see.

EDIT: I was referring to the feature set, not the time of release since that can change due to last minute testing issues.
